The Canada Media Fund (CMF) fosters, develops, finances and promotes the production of Canadian content and applications for all audiovisual media platforms. The CMF guides Canadian content towards a competitive global environment by fostering industry innovation, rewarding success, enabling a diversity of voice and promoting access to content through public and private sector partnerships.
Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications, you will be creative and detail oriented with the capability to problem solve. You will have experience managing a high workload while under pressure of changing priorities. Strong interpersonal skills will allow you to be successful in this role.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
Develop and manage relationships with sales, production and communications contacts for national and international partnerships.
Manage partnership contracts and processes and provide follow-up on all deliverables
Collect post-event information from partners and analyze data in relationship to objectives
Manage marketing and communication tools for partnerships
Make recommendations for all marketing activities to include, but not limited to, tradeshow and event support, collateral development, and social media marketing.
Manage paid publicity, production and placement
Oversee creation and delivery of, advertisements, information kits and other marketing materials
Generate and maintain list of national and international industry events; attend and report on events
Deepen relationships with other professional organizations , to ensure the most effective messaging and positioning of the organization
Work with the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop tools in order to optimize their use throughout all departments in the organization
Monitor, review, and report on marketing activities and results through key metrics and KPIs
Manage suppliers to ensure product delivery
Manage marketing initiatives geared towards the general public
Perform other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience, and qualifications:
A post-secondary degree, ideally within marketing, communications or related experience
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role
Bilingualism (English and French) is required
Extensive knowledge and ability to manage various communications channels
Proven experience and success with creative marketing strategies
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
Proven analytical skills with a high attention to detail
Results and solution focused
Strong organizational skills are a must
Knowledge of latest and most current digital tools
Excellent computer skills, including use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Knowledge of the television, digital media or events industries is an asset
Some travel required (approx. 5%)
