Tax Administrator, Location, Observatory, Southern Suburbs, Advertised By Private, Job Type Full-Time
LPH is an independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in the Southern Suburbs and we are seeking to employ a highly organized and efficient Tax Administrator.
Purpose of the job: The primary task would be to provide the full tax function to a portfolio of individual and corporate tax clients; whilst working directly with a Senior Tax Consultant.
Minimum requirements: Experience is not essential but would be preferable. Solid knowledge of the tax system and experience in dealing with SARS is advantageous. Must be capable of working with little or no supervision. Experience working on E-Filing and / or Taxware would be advantageous. Suitable qualifications would be beneficial
Key duties or responsibilities: Income Tax returns – Trusts, Corporates and mostly those of individuals. Sending of requests to clients for information necessary for the completion of tax returns. Checking of Assessments. Raising objections where necessary (Income Tax, VAT, Employees Tax). Tax Clearance Certificate Applications. Account Maintenance for all tax types. Dealing with all client queries and requests. Assistance with SARS queries. EMP201 Returns . VAT 201 Returns
Skills or competencies: Good communication and interpersonal skills. Team player; Ability to work under pressure; Strong analytical skills; Ability to deal effectively with individuals at all levels; Ability to pay high attention to detail. Strong administration skills
