Truck Driver, Tractor-Trailer (Driver)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 Yearly for 70 hours per week, Mileage Paid, Dental Benefits, Group Insurance Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Area surrounding the City of Edmonton, Alberta (3 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver\'s Licence (Class 1 or A)
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles), Tractor-trailer, Tractor-trailer B train, Flatbed
Type of Travel: Short-haul, Local, Regional, Provincial/territorial
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports
Communication Equipment Experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Cellular phone
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods, Perform preventive maintenance, Perform emergency roadside repairs
Additional Skills: Mountain driving expertise, Professionalism in customer service
Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check, Drug test
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat
Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel overnight, Valid driver\'s licence
