Business Analyst with IT Experience; Dublin 2

My Client is seeking a business analyst, experienced in managing IT projects, with a financial services background.

Suitable candidates will hold a  third-level qualification in a numerate discipline and have a  proven track record in business analysis roles within the financial services sector. PRINCE2 (or equivalent) certification would be an advantage and analytical and deductive reasoning skills, particularly in the areas or requirements identification, definition and specification is desirable.

Required Skills:

Business case development and documentation

Business requirements scoping, analysis, definition and specification

Business process and procedure design and re-engineering

Liaison with business users and, as appropriate, vendors

Generation  of accurate and timely status reporting

Business requirements scoping, analysis, definition and specification

Business process and procedure design and re-engineering

Project administration including structured issues management and change request procedures

SQL in a Relational Database Management System environment (preferably Oracle)

Relational data modelling and/or dimensional modelling

Systems and data integration and data analytics

Test management skills, from the development of test strategies through to design, execution and sign-off of test cases

End user reporting, data discovery and BI tools such as Business Objects, Oracle OBI, Crystal Reports etc

Data Quality Management.

Microsoft Project and Microsoft SharePoint

Successful candidates will have experience of some of these areas: EFT settlement systems and/or other electronic payment systems, EIS/MIS systems, HR systems, Insurance claims management and or risk root-cause analysis systems, Front Office and Back Office procedures in a financial institution, Compliance and audit functions in a regulated environment, Data classification and data-retention policy development, Project Management Office concepts and techniques.

This role is for a minimum of 1 year and salary is dependent on experience.
