An excellent opportunity awaits a dynamic individual with the right qualifications and experience to provide legal secretarial support to the litigation department (specialising in personal injury claims) of a Durban Law Firm.
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include: General secretarial duties, including typing and drafting of correspondence, legal processes, documents and notices, opinions, reports, agreements and contracts; Attending to telephone calls and e-mails; Corresponding and liasing with clients, attorneys and internal and external stakeholders Diary Management; File Management; Attending to general office duties; Carry out ad hoc duties.
The following minimum requirements must be met in order to be considered for this position: Matric; 5 to 7 years’ experience as a legal secretary or similar or related position, with experience in providing legal support in civil litigation, particularly personal injury claims; Legal Secretarial or Paralegal Qualification or similar qualification, will be an advantage; Excellent communication skills in english, both written and verbal; Excellent Typing skills; with a minimum typing speed of 40 to 50 wpm; Dictaphone typing experience, will be an advantage; Ability to work independently; Ability to communicate effectively at all levels; High level of integrity and judgment; Attention to detail; Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
