Accounts Payable Executive - Government Agency - Immediate Start

At Lex Consultancy we have an urgent requirement for an Accounts Payable Executive to join the offices of our client based in Dublin City Centre on a temporary ongoing basis with an immediate start.

As a member of the Financial Reporting and Accounts Payable team, reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the position encompasses the following responsibilities:

• Preparing and issuing invoices to all government departments in accordance with relevant office instruction • Preparing monthly statements • Calculating interest due where applicable • Regular liaison with the transaction processing unit with regard to monies received • Regular contact with Government departments to ensure that invoices are paid in a timely fashion • Credit Control • Processing cost recoveries from third parties • Invoice and other filing • Maintaining file closure forms and closing files when all outstanding monies have been paid • Ensuring that the claims management system is correct • Liaison with auditors in relation to transaction documentation and files

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies: • An accountancy or similar business qualification is essential • Microsoft Office proficient • Office environment experience
