IT Support Technician, Location, Other, Northern Suburbs, Advertised By Private, Job Type Full-Time

Out IT services and consulting company is looking for a mid-level support technician that will mainly be based at our clients.  This position requires a good knowledge of IT systems and someone with 2 years plus IT support or IT System Administration experience.

ESSENTIAL: Experience of providing support on (MS Active. Directory 2008/2012 administration, including user creation, passwords, DNS, DHCP). Experience of setting up, configuring and installing new PCs and associated equipment. Matric Certificate. Microsoft Certification, Own reliable transport. Main duties of the role include, but are not limitied to: Hardware - and Software – maintenance onsite and remotely. Answering helpdesk phone calls, creation/resolution. Provide first line and second line support on (MS Active Directory 2008/2012 administration, including user creation, passwords, DNS, DHCP). Set up, configure and install new PCs and associated equipment; ensure all PCs and laptops are up to date with security updates. Server Administration; assisting with the implementation of new server and network infrastructure hardware Network technics (Installation and maintenance); provide first support for network infra equipment (switches and routers). You will be involved in ICT Projects and Sub Project Management; You’ll support different specialized applications

Candidate requirements: Specific education and experience in ICT field, (Informational Technician, Telecommunication or similar), In depth knowledge and experience of supporting, MS Windows OS (7/10/2008/2012), Experience of basic Windows Server 2008/2012 (AD administration, including user creation, passwords / DNS / DHCP, etc...). Knowledge and experience of IP networks (Routing, Firewall) Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud services, specifically Office 365. Knowledge of SQL would be  advantageous, Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, Willingness to learn and be proactive. Excellent service orientation combined with a confident and engaging personality. Good people skills; customer focused A responsible and structured working method; ability to plan, prioritize and organize their own work. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Be willing to travel
