Job description
New Media Publishing is looking for a PHP developer with an impressive portfolio to join their digital team. This is a new position, stemming from the growth in our digital portfolio for brands across our consumer and custom divisions.

The role
•Responsible for development of core PHP-based applications
•Support and maintenance of existing applications and environments
•Produce detailed specifications and contribute in all phases of development life cycle including quality control and systems testing
•Follow industry best practice
•Must be deadline driven with great problem-solving skills
•Be willing to adapt and grow with evolving digital division
Requirements
•Three to five years experience
•Strong knowledge of PHP
•Strong understanding of relational database architecture concepts MySQL
•Experience with major PHP frameworks
•Good knowledge of front end technologies HTML/5, CSS, Javascript, jQuery
•Experience creating and integrating RESTful APIs
•Understanding of web-based security implementations
•Experience in Wordpress configuration and CMS
•Knowledgeable of UI and UX trends
•Ability to manage full software development process including requirements, functional spec, development and testing.
