Supervisor - vegetable packing
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Evening
Salary: $17.00 Hourly for 50 hours per week, Other Benefits, Medical Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Leamington, Ontario (2 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Work Setting: Fruit and vegetable processing plant
Specific Skills: Co-ordinate work activities with other units, Inspect and review for quality control and environmental standards, Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule activities of workers
Additional Skills: Train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies, Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions, Manage inventory control, CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) Regulations, Health and safety regulations
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilites: Fast-paced environment, Handling heavy loads, Attention to detail
Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is not available
Essential Skills: Communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing
Other Information:Must have produce experience
