Mechanical Fitter (Automotive Body and White Experience essential) design is the largest independent Design and Systems Integration Company in South Africa. Our field of expertise lies in automotive tooling and specialised equipment. At DESign we are able to engineer fully manual or automated production lines to suit the customers' build requirements.

Because we are an innovative organization, we offer our client's pragmatic solutions in Engineering, Robotics, Automation and Manufacturing. We currently have an open position in our Amanzimtoti office for dynamic and experienced Mechanical Fitters. The position will be responsible for assembling mechanical assemblies of jigs and fixtures, working to tight tolerance, fault finding on assembled fixtures and the communication of technical problems.

Preference will be given to applicants who are in possession of a Fitter and Turner Trade, however, relevant Mechanical Fitting experience in excess of 10 years in an Automotive Manufacturing Body and White environment will be considered. Applicants must be able to read mechanical drawings and have automotive body and white experience.

Applicants must show willingness to work under pressure with minimum Supervision, work in an environment of constant change, enthusiastic to learn new technologies related to this field, willing to work longs hours and overtime when required, must reside in Amanzimtoti or immediate surrounding area, must be prepared to travel both locally and internationally for extended periods.
