Employment Counsellor (Job Developer/Facilitator)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Day
Salary: $38,000.00 to $42,000.00 Yearly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Winnipeg and Area, Manitoba (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Completion of university
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Type of Establishment Experience: Community-based agency
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Word processing, Spreadsheet, Database
Specific Skills: Interview clients to obtain employment history, educational background and career goals, Assist clients to develop job readiness skills and job search strategies, Advise employers on human resources issues, Pre-select candidates for interviews, Collect labour market information for clients regarding job openings and entry and skill requirements, Teach clients how to write resumes and prepare for job interviews, Counsel workers on work, and career-related issues
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Attention to detail, Large workload
Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people
