Security Installation Technician

Position
The Security Installation Technician is a full time position that will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and repair of our approved products.  The incumbent is required to have significant technical experience and aptitude in dealing with electronic security and customer service.
Duties
    Coordinate workload including scheduling with clients as required
    Perform worksite safety analysis
    Install, setup, programming and commissioning of equipment and cabling as required
    Possess working knowledge of Local Area Network(LAN) configuration
    Interpret company and client supplied CAD’s and technical diagrams as required
    Track and record information regarding installations such as job times, payroll timesheets, etc…
    Ensure provided tools(laptop, power tools, test Equipment) are well maintained
    Ensure provided service vehicle is maintained, kept clean and replenished in accordance to company requirements
    Provide system training to end users as required
    Comply with all company policies and guidelines
Experience/Qualifications
    High school Diploma, post secondary Electronics related certification/Diploma is preferred
    Minimum 5 years of field experience installing and troubleshooting electronic security systems
    Possession of a Class “M” License(Voice, Data, Video) is preferred
    Must possess valid Driver’s License
    Ability to pass required criminal record check
    Possess problem solving and multitasking ability
    Ability to work independently as well as in a group setting
    Mechanical/Electrical aptitude to effectively and safely use power tools, hand tools and test equipment
    Physical ability to stand, kneel, squat, bend, climb a ladder
    Ability to lift up to 40lbs
    Availability to work variable hours/weeks and on call shifts as required to meet client requirements
