Truck Driver (Livestock truck driver)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day, Evening

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A)
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles), Tractor-trailer, Flatbed
Type of Travel: Short-haul, Long-haul, Local, Regional, Provincial/territorial, National, International
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports
Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone, Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment
Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
