This hotel is seeking a Marketing Manager to join their team. The successful incumbent will be responsible to control and administer website, update rates and specials, ensure that information/rates on website are current and accurate as well as keep up to date with updates and postings on Twitter, Face book, LinkedIn, Trip Advisor and other online mediums, administer news, specials, photographs, etc. You will be required to manage all internet and electronic marketing of the hotel, create and distribute newsletter, create and distribute flyers to advertise specials. Further duties will include identifying relevant trade shows to attend, liaise with event organizers regarding stands, booking appointments with potential clients and necessary follow up to nurture business relationships; control and administer STO contracts based on level of return business, keep STO register up-to-date, monitor all rates given to STO’s; Identify potential areas for advertising - print, online, radio and TV; Investigate costing, liaise with printers regarding designs, ensure payments are made via Accounts Department: Manage all special requests, ensure approval obtained from General Manager and liaise with clients; Generate and manage annual calendar of marketing events, adverts, shows etc. proposed for the year; Manage all sponsorship requests and prize issues ensuring maximum exposure for the hotel; Update and manage content: Generate statistic reports, forecasting; Manage internal database updates, amendments, additions: Ensure sufficient printing stock is ordered, liaise with Department Heads regarding their printing needs, plan seasonal printing to ensure all is completed on time, design and print menus, programmes etc. for peak season: Manage Marketing team - support, assist, train where necessary; Be aware of relevant competitor information and market changes to initiate services/rates as appropriate; Update Manual, set rate increases; Undertake on the road marketing when required; To promote the hotel and its services by means of editorial, newsletters, monthly e-news, expos; Assist as and when required with site inspections. A formal Diploma in Marketing together with previous experience within the hospitality industry will be an advantage.
