Architect – Corporate. Location, City Centre, Cape Town, Advertised By Private, Job Type Full-Time

A Private Property Group owning a large Residential, Commercial & Industrial Portfolio, requires a full time 'in house' professional architect, to work from the company's offices in the CBD.

The position is focused primarily (but not exclusively) on the redesign and refurbishment of blocks of flats in the City Bowl area. A Flexible start date will be considered. The applicant should have the following minimum qualifications / attributes: 4 years Bachelor's or B Tech Degree in architecture, Minimum 5 or more years experience in architectural design of Blocks of Flats, Commercial and Industrial Buildings, Professionally registered with SACAP essential, Proficient and quick draughting abilities on AutoCAD and Revit, Monitor progress throughout the life of the project and report to the Project Manager, Strong rendering skills, including proficiency communicating designs with freehand sketches, Good technical construction knowledge, Experience in managing and liaison with the construction and professional team, Ability to establish, manage and maintain project information, Understanding of the Municipal and Provincial approvals process, Measure and prepare drawings of existing building. Perform field inspections, research, measurements or calculations as needed. Materials specifications and finishes selection Innovative design skills, focused on details, In addition to the above requirements, applicants will only be considered who are: A) resident in the greater Cape Town area, B) Non-smokers
