Courier Driver (Flat Deck/Tilt bed/Cube van/Pick up truck/Van)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $14.00 to $20.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Winnipeg and Area, Manitoba (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class D or 3), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate
Experience: Experience an asset
Travel Experience: Local, Provincial/territorial
Weight Handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs)
Specific Skills: Pick-up and deliver various items and products, Transport and handle dangerous goods, Load and unload goods, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use maps and other trip planning aids, Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems
Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service, Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves, Cellular phone
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Physically demanding
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Vehicle supplied by employer, Valid driver's licence
