Contract Manager, Location, City Centre, Cape Town, Advertised By Private, Job Type Contract, I am recruiting for a well established company that needs to resource its new contracts.

 This new role is mainly focused on the establishment and sustainable operation of Waste collection and Re-cycling operation in Cape Town.   

Job Purpose: Contract Management of two contract areas in Cape Town.

To ensure delivery of services against defined contract requirements and delivery standards. To manage the customer regarding the contract and contractual variations. Seek opportunities to grow the business line within the customer organisation. Manage on the ground teams and vehicles.

Key Performance areas Contract Management with project P+L responsibility, Stakeholder Relationship Management, Selection, management and development of Cooperatives, Administration, Training and Development, Financial Management, Labour Relations, Reporting at project level to the customer and Ops Director, Reporting on contract P+L performance to Senior Management

Computer literacy, Knowledge of legislation pertaining to employment and statutory requirements, Knowledge of Municipal legislation, Sound interpersonal skills, Process Mapping Methodology, Report writing, Ability to analyze, interpret and  explain financial information on P+L, cash flow and balance sheet Attributes Ability to work under pressure to conform to deadlines, Strict confidentiality, Attention to detail, Self-drive and ability to work unsupervised, Able to achieve results in a politically influenced environment, Understand that customer needs may need some unsocial hours commitment

Role requirements/ Qualifications and experience Bachelor’s

Degree or Diploma in Business Management and/or Administration or other relevant academic background; A minimum of 5 years in Project Management or operations management and minimum 5 years management experience; Knowledge of Waste Management, municipal inner workings and relevant municipal legislation advantageous; Proficient in Excel, Word and other basic computer software.
