The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a result oriented individual; with an entrepreneurial spirit striving for excellence in customer service As a Retail and Processing Store Manager, you will maximize store sales and profitability by focusing on strategic planning and implementing corporate strategic plans. You will strategically recruit, train, and develop a productive store team.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to the Grande Prairie Store team, managing day-to-day operation of all aspect of the store including financial performance, donation collections, material processing, personnel management, health and safety initiatives, and loss control activities. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing store to meet or exceed revenue and surplus targets, by maximizing sale performance through proper rotation, signage and efficient processing of inventory merchandise.
Effectively and efficiently manage the store budget by generating revenue and controlling expenses.
Meeting production goals on a consistent basis by overseeing the proper handling and processing of incoming and outgoing donations, maximizing used good processing including sorting, preparing, and pricing items for sale.
Managing all customer concerns, complaints and compliments and develop corrective action plans.
Candidates Requirements:
As a Retail and Processing Store Manager, you are able to engage people, lead the team by example, and encourage team work by creating a fun and energized environment. Your past work experience must include at least 5 years of retail management experience with a solid understanding of the store operations.
In order to be successful in to be successful in this role, you should demonstrate following skills and qualifications:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to influence, empower, and motivate staff, and hold team members accountable for the completion of responsibilities as well as attainment of performance goals.
Sound decision making and problem solving skills with good business sense.
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary diploma or degree in retail management or business is an asset.
Must be at least 18 years of age or older and pass a criminal record check.
