Part Time Accountant – Permanent Position, Location, Bellville, Northern Suburbs, Advertised By Private, Job Type Part-Time

We are currently recruiting for a permanent part-time (half day) accounting role which is available to a reliable, suitably qualified person. Applicants with the following attributes will be considered: Relevant tertiary qualification (minimum B.Com or similar or studying towards), Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a comparable accounting role, Experience in bookkeeping up to trial balance level, Fully computer literate in Excel, Word & Outlook (intermediate Excel skills), Afrikaans & English speaking, Must be a self-starter and be able to work with minimum supervision, Detail orientated and high level of accuracy, High personal standards in terms of work ethic, professionalism and punctuality, High standard of communication & interpersonal skills, Contactable references, Available from 1 May 2016

Responsibilities: Capturing transactions in Excel accounting models Processing payments & filing invoices Completing monthly bank reconciliations Managing payroll & HR functions: Calculating & submitting VAT & Payroll returns to SARS, Completion of all monthly reconciliations, Analytical review of monthly results & identification of issues for follow-up, Compiling management reports & presenting to management, Implementing internal controls & refining business processes, Reporting to owner of business

Job specifications: Employment type: Permanent Part-Time, Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 1:00pm, Available for occasional overtime, Start date: 1 May 2016, Salary: R10,000 pm, Leave: 15 days per year
