Peak Well Systems is a leading specialist in the design and manufacture of advanced downhole tools for well intervention. We provide both operators and service companies around the world with an extensive range of innovative downhole products, expert field deployment capabilities and aftermarket support. Our aim is to reduce well operating costs and improve well performance for our customers.
Peak is seeking the services of suitably qualified Design Engineers to work alongside the Head of Engineering. These positions may be based in any one of our technology centres in Perth, Western Australia or Aberdeen, Scotland or Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The successful candidates will be highly qualified and experienced in well equipment design and slickline operations. Offshore experience in well servicing would be advantageous.
These positions will instigate and manage conceptual design of new slickline and completion tools, from concept through to product delivery to our Clients. The incumbent must have a proven track record of delivering new ideas to the market.

The principle accountabilities are:
Engineering design of new tools for slickline, flow control and completion services.
Working closely with the Head of Engineering, participating in planning of new concept tools and providing critical input into new tool development.
Provide solutions to engineering design services in response to Client requests.
Provide support to all Peak offices globally, including travel to these locations if required.
Ultimately the position is critical to the expansion of Peak’s product portfolio.
Deliver all activities consistent with Peak’s HSE expectations
Follow the principles of Peak’s Integrated Management System
Essential Criteria:
Highly qualified and experienced well equipment or slickline design engineer with a track record of timely delivery of new products to the market
Preferably tertiary educated in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification
Experience in the design and manufacture of slickline tools preferred
Offshore experience in well servicing advantageous
Experienced in AutoCad Inventor or other drawing tool software for both designing and the creation of full dimensional manufacture drawings
Excellent communication skills including ability to discuss well intervention issues in front of Clients
Report writing experience to a high level
Ability to work within ISO 9001 standards
Good hands on skills essential and willingness to work within workshop environment during testing and trials of new tools.
Proactive, innovative and with the ability to work unsupervised
Ability to work in a small niche team assuming a range of responsibilities
Meticulous attention to detail
Good commercial awareness
Excellent HSEQC standards and quality orientated
