Business Development Specialist

The Business Development Specialist plays a key role in the Velocity Frequent Flyer Program aimed to develop the Consumer Partnership Portfolio by acquisition of new partners into the program.
You will be responsible for executing the company and program strategy and be accountable for the delivery of the new business revenue targets and customer engagement targets.
The role is to work with the Manager, Consumer Partnerships in creating and executing an overall acquisition strategy for the Program and some key success points for the role include:
Delivery of commercially successful partnerships for both parties, Delivery of strategic partnerships in key customer engagement categories. The ability to develop strong high level relationships and stakeholder management and engagement.
To be successful in this role, you will bring to the table:
Strong business development experience
Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple business to business relationships and stakeholders
Knowledge of loyalty programs
High level of communication / presentation skills
Sound business sense and strong analytical skills
Experience with contract negotiation and tender process highly advantageous
