Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma, Social Service Worker - Gerontology Diploma, Community Support Worker (CSW) Diploma, Human Services Diploma, Cultural Awareness Training, Medication Administration Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Work Setting: Group home
Target Groups or Clients: Male, Female, Aboriginal groups, Persons with intellectual disabilities, Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with mental health disabilities, Persons with learning disabilities
Specific Skills: Resolve conflict situations, Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, Implement behaviour management programs, Provide personal services support to persons with special needs, Screen, recruit and train volunteers and support staff
Additional Skills: Administrative and office activities, Supervise staff, trainees or volunteers, Housekeeping activities, Food preparation
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driver's validity licence check
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence
Work Location Information: Rural community, Remote location, Willing to relocate
Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people
