Management Accountant, Nottingham Trent University - College of Arts and Science, Location: Nottingham, Salary: £31,343 to £35,256 per annum, Grade: H, Hours: Full Time, Contract Type: Contract / Temporary

The College of Arts and Science embraces a wide range of disciplines through its three schools (“Arts & Humanities”, “Animal, Rural & Environmental Science”, and “Science & Technology”) based over three campuses. Its income is derived from teaching, research and commercial activities.

We’re seeking to appoint a talented individual to support the finance and planning of research activities for the Schools and College. This involves active participation in the production of annual budgets and forecasts, provision of appropriate management information to budget holders, School, College and University Managers, supporting the end-to-end grant process from developing and submitting funding applications through to preparing and submitting financial claims, disseminating funds and planning and managing external audits.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a diverse and successful college which has arisen due a growth in research applications.

The successful applicant must be highly adaptable and able to step quickly into a demanding role as a key business partner to a diverse group of non-financial, managers.  Excellent communication and computer skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret & summarise business information and to provide financial leadership during a period of significant change.

The role is based at our Clifton Campus, although some travel to our City and Brackenhurst campuses may be needed from time to time.
