We are a startup internet company that is developing a new type of social network, and we are looking for an experienced PHP Developer that will join our co-founding team. We require an experienced PHP Web Developer that will be in charge of web development.

We need an ambitious, dedicated and enthusiastic team player that is ready to do whatever it takes to achieve success. You need to be intelligent and be able to work completely on your own without supervision, and also work well within a small team.

The position is based in Somerset West but there may be some opportunity to work from home. Salary is negotiable but we offer a share of a company that will be worth a lot of money in the end.

Candidate Requirements: Experience in PHP development for websites and web applications.

Proficient in Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, HTML5 and Bootstrap.

Standard HTML5, CSS3 and web design skill. Frontend will be based on Bootstrap.

JavaScript skill must be at the point where you can do anything related to manipulating user input from forms and dynamic tables and server-side processing of the data. Also any JavaScript needed for controlling standard user interfaces.

Proficiency in using and adapting JavaScript plug-in. Knowledge of industry standard security measures.

Knowledge of implementing bulk and automated internet payment systems such as PayPal and other payment gateway APIs will be advantageous. Intelligent and be able to learn and do anything.

Hard working. As part of this company and team you must be willing to devote all your spare time to achieving the end goal. If you want a job then this is not for you. Excellent problem solving skills.

Preferably a BSc in Computer Science or related. Minimum a diploma in web development with examples of what you are capable of.
