Urecon is a leading Canadian manufacturer – supplying pre-insulated pipe systems to the municipal, HVAC, mining and industrial sectors for over 45 years. It has more than 150 employees at its plants in Coteau-du-Lac(QC) and Calmar (AB). We are currently looking for candidates for our plant located in Calmar to fill the position of:

Production Manager

Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the Production Manager will be responsible to supervise a group of foreman and employees based on a results-oriented, performance and participation philosophy. The Production Manager will be responsible to coordinate the daily production, assess and manage the labour force, maximize and optimize production processes. Responsibilities will also include promoting health and safety in collaboration with the health and safety department.

Requirements: Post secondary education with preference given to Production Management / administration or engineering; 5 to 8 years of experience in a production manager role in a manufacturing company; Capacity to understand and interpret technical aspects of a manufacturing environment; Aptitude for management and coaching; Planning and organizational skills;

Problem solving and analysis; Communication, listening and interpersonal relations skills; Solid computer skills (Word, Excel and Outlook); ERP (Epicor) proficiency (or aptitude to learn in depth for this requirement).
