Aerospace Engineer

Solar Ship Inc. a Canadian engineering firm located in Toronto, is seeking an experienced Aerospace Engineer (NOC 2146) on a permanent, full time basis to commence as soon as possible. Terms and requirements of Employment:

1. Permanent, full time, overtime may be required

2. Completion of an Engineering Degree is required

3. At least 5 years of aerospace engineering is requiredMust speak, read and write English fluently

5. Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally (travel expenses paid by the employer)

6. Must have experience with manufacturing and maintenance of aircraft

7. At least 5 years of experience managing engineering teams

8. Previous team leadership in production management is an asset

9. High level of mechanical engineering affinity

10. Excellent time management skills

11. Strong record keeping, forecasting and reporting skills

Duties required:

1. Manage aircraft development and manufacturing

2. Manage engineering team and be accountable for the delivery of team results

3. Meet timeline and budget

4. Approve expenditures

5. Maintain team cohesion

6. Guidance on production techniques

7. Development of build techniques

8. Selection, development and procurement of materials

9. Performance calculations

10. Certification/airworthiness submissions
