Delivery truck driver (for 3 ton straight truck)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time, Day
Salary: $10.30 to $11.00 Hourly for 20 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience: Experience an asset
Travel Experience: Local
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Specific Skills: Pick-up and deliver various items and products, Collect or make payments for goods, Transport and handle dangerous goods, Load and unload goods, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use maps and other trip planning aids, Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle, Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems
Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service, Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Security and Safety: Bondable, Driving record check (abstract)
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Tight deadlines, Physically demanding
Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's licence
