Development Officer II, Company: Municipal District of Bonnyville, Location: Bonnyville, AB
The Municipal District of Bonnyville No. 87 invites applications for the position of Development Officer II. This position will report directly to the Director of Planning and Development within the Planning and Development Department.
Duties & Responsibilities: Develop and coordinate an efficient file and record management system including procedures to ensure that information is readily available, maintained and revised as required. Up-date programs to keep records current.
Provide assistance, information and interpretation of bylaws, policies and procedure to facilitate the compliance and development process for the public and other M.D. of Bonnyville staff.
Liaise with government agencies and departments regarding compliance and development-related matters to ensure that information and decisions are coordinated and cohesive.
Assist and advise the Director of Planning on matters to support planning policy and other Department program initiatives.
Make decisions on development permit applications which may be considered by the Development Officer.
Review and research compliance requests and provide accurate responses to customers regarding the development and use of land.
Qualifications: Land Use Planning Certificate, Post-secondary planning, Skilled public relations, Skilled written and verbal communication
