Experienced Bookkeeper, Location, Southern Peninsula, Advertised By Private, Job Type Full-Time, EXPERIENCED BOOKKEEPER – Simon’s Town

We’re looking for a candidate with at least 10 years of experience to run the Company Group accounts on Pastel Partner Version 14 to Trial Balance reporting directly to the Director, with own transport and residing in the Southern Suburbs. Need to start November at factory head office in Simons Town .

Duties include (but not limited to): Creditors – capture, reconcile & pay online, Month-end statement to local debtors and follow up on payments, Convert dollar sales invoices and capture in journal batch,, Cash Flow projections & reporting, Income statement, Bank reconciliations (current, investment and forex accounts), Submit EMP201 & VAT returns on E-Filing, Petty Cash, Monthly reconcile & analyse general ledger accounts, Preparing TB for auditors at year end, Bank inward and outward USD payments, Prepare and process journal entries, Online Banking, Monthly rent & other invoicing within the Group’s companies

Essential requirements: Proficient on Pastel Partner, and some knowledge of Pastel Point of Sale, Advanced computer literacy in Word & Excel, Comfortable using a wide variety of online systems and comfortable with technology in general, Highly organized with attention to detail, Strong administration skills, High level of initiative and the ability to fully “take charge” of assignments
