Finance Controller – Location, Umhlanga, North Suburbs, Advertised By Agency, Job Type Full-Time, Salary - R10 000

Duties: Process Journal entries on Accounting Software. Asset Register maintenance including booking of depreciation entries. Disbursement Accounting and Principal Reporting (Training will be provided). Assist Financial Manager with yearly Budgets. Prepare reports for Finance Manager. General ad hoc duties for management as and when required. Debtors/Creditors processing entries and preparing payments (including reconciliations). Follow up on queries with service providers as and when required. VAT preparation under guidance from Supervisor / Manager. Other Statutory reporting and filing with SARS. Daily banking, including bank reconciliations and confirmation of funds for release of cargo. Liaise with bank and staff to investigate reconciling items on USD Dollar Account and ZAR Account. Ensure entries for key accounts are processed correctly on monthly basis.

Competencies Required: 5 year experience in similar position. Candidates from Ships Agency / Clearing and Forwarding environment will be given preference. Knowledge of accounting practices and relevant Tax Laws. Relevant Accounting Qualification will be recommended – B.Com or equivalent
