Newtown Neighbourhood Centre’s Boarding House Outreach Service is recruiting a full time Case Worker (Maternity leave locum).

We are looking for an experienced professional to provide high quality case management support to people living in boarding houses that have complex needs and are at risk of homelessness.

This position is full-time, 35 hours per week and the successful applicant will be part of a small and supportive team. Ideally, you have a passion for working in the homelessness sector and a strong belief in working towards social justice for marginalised people. SCHCADS Level 5 (above pay award conditions).

Selection Criteria: Commitment to the values of Newtown Neighbourhood Centre, Demonstrated experience working with disadvantaged and marginalised people, Experience in needs assessment, case coordination and advocacy for service users, and in individualised outcomes-focussed service delivery, Relevant tertiary qualifications in community services or equivalent, Strong interpersonal skills to be able to work with a diverse clientele, Good written and computer-based skills, Experience working collaboratively with a range of stakeholders including other service providers, Ability to organise and prioritise workload, Ability and commitment to work as part of a team, current driver’s licence and safe driving record, Salary packaging is available to the successful applicant.
