Junior Installation Technician_Cape Town Based, No applications via email will be considered.

The Installation Technician is responsible for the installation of internet services and associated hardware at 3rd party client’s sites and the implementation and support of the 3rd party sites that form part of the core business services of RSAWEB and its clients.

Responsibilities: Installation of Wireless/Microwave Links and Fibre optic networks, On site monitoring, support and being the liaison between RSAWEB & the client, Prepare DSP’s (Detailed Site Plans) for new fibre and wireless site installations, Install the network infrastructure and equipment as per provided DSP’s, Preparing and submitting of As Built Documentation for each completed installation, Planning, setup and overseeing of RSAWEB and DFA conferences and trade shows, Monitor and maintain boot stock for installation team vehicles, Responsible for the electrical and hand tool inventory to be used for onsite installations, Data Centres duties – Cabling, preparing of cabinets, overseeing clients and contractors & generator testing, Company Vehicle – maintenance and repairing, updating of Logbook, arranging collections and deliveries, Assisting in general office maintenance required by management

Required Skills: 1 – 3 years’ experience in the Telecommunications industry, focussing on Wireless, microwave and fibre network deployment, 1 – 3 years Point to Point and Point to Multipoint radio and microwave installations, 1 – 3 years Fibre optic installations and fibre splicing skills, Relevant tertiary qualification a bonus, Sound knowledge and or certification of Mikrotik and UBNT products, Sound knowledge of Linux, Windows, Organised, punctual and professional, The ability to work unsupervised, Driver’s license and own vehicle, Willingness to learn and grow with your team, Posted By RSAWEB, Location Seapoint, Cape Town
