Interplast Australia & New Zealand (Interplast) is a small, highly regarded not-for-profit organisation that has been in operation since 1983. Our work facilitates voluntary medical teams to provide treatment to improve the lives of people in developing countries in the Asia Pacific region who are disabled as a result of congenital or acquired medical conditions. Education and training for local medical staff is an important part of our mission of rebuilding bodies and repairing lives.
Following the recent development of a new fundraising and communications strategy, we are looking for a dynamic and highly engaged individual to join the organisation as our Marketing & Communications Coordinator.
Based within the Melbourne CBD and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer through the Fundraising & Development Manager, the Marketing & Communications Coordinator is a key member of the small fundraising, marketing and communications team. This is a great opportunity for someone with an interest in international development looking to take the next step in their career. You will have the opportunity to grow your experience in an exciting new team and implement a new strategy around fundraising and communications. This position is broadly responsible for all external communications of Interplast including the development of targeted and creative collateral for the new fundraising and communications strategy.
To be successful in obtaining this exciting full-time position, you will have demonstrated experience (minimum 3 years) in a communications and/or marketing role, excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, understanding of social media, a strong sense of initiative, attention to detail and the ability to meet competing deadlines. An ability to work cooperatively with a small team of dedicated staff and volunteers is essential.
Some work and travel outside office hours may be required. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills, and includes access to generous salary packaging conditions.
