The Good Samaritan Inn is a not for profit Catholic organisation situated in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. The Inn provides crisis accommodation for homeless women and children.

We are seeking someone with a family violence background, ideally experienced in leading small teams to be our Program Development worker for 20 hours a week for until the 16th February 2016.

The role involves developing, implementing and ongoing coordination of programs for women and children. You will work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator, and other agency staff and volunteers to deliver our programs.

In addition to coordinating our women's and children's programs according to best practice and DHHS guidelines,  you will be the volunteers main point of contact within the women's and children's programs, and will provide them with training, supervision, support and direction to carry out their duties.

Regular reporting to management and managing your own budget is also essential.

Applicants must have good understanding and experience of trauma and how family violence impacts children’s development and the mother/child relationship.
