BoysTown’s Counselling Services operates the nationally acclaimed Kids Helpline, which is Australia's only free, private and confidential, telephone and online counselling service specifically for young people aged between 5 and 25. We offer one-on-one counselling to thousands of young people and their families via our Kids Helpline and Parentline telephone and online help services.

Counselling with Kids Helpline & Parentline: Kids Helpline's vital services are not possible without the exceptional efforts of its trained Counsellors and support staff. Our Counsellors receive tailored training in BoysTown’s counselling framework and service demographic and ongoing support with our Clinical Supervision program.

BoysTown’s Counselling Centre is a twenty-four hour, seven day a week counselling service. This allows for a range of part time and full time positions within a set team roster for Counsellors.

Application criteria: This is a contemporary and exciting role that will join our Counselling Team. We are looking for applicants who genuinely want to make a difference in the life of children and young people and possess the following:

Relevant degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Human Services or similar, Minimum one (1) year full time counselling experience or part time equivalent, Demonstrated high level of commitment to the principles of client centred practice, empowerment and confidentiality, Ability to be flexible and resilient to manage within a 24 hour, 7 day a week set shift work environment.
