About Northside: Northside Community Forum Inc. (Northside) is a community based organisation that exists to improve care in our region. Our community of care includes people who are aged, people with a disability, people with mental health issues, and those that care for them. We also include friends and family, our members, and other organisations involved in community based care. The reforming aged care, disability, health and community sectors call for new ways of working together to deliver care and support to people for people to live in their chosen community. Northside’s strategy is to grow its ability to plan with, resource and support the regional community care system.
The Role: To position ourselves for the new world, we are looking for a Director, Client Services. The Director, Client Services is responsible for the leadership, growth and development of services delivered by Northside. The Director works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer in ensuring the organisation delivers effective services to clients, careers and partner organisations.
As part of the Executive Leadership team, you will have extensive experience in either disability, aged or mental health services with commercial acumen and the capacity to lead a team of committed staff through change within a short time - in short, you are ready to hit the ground running.
What We Are Looking For (the Selection Criteria): Evidence of highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with experience in developing and maintaining strong partnerships.
Ability to set and monitor activity and financial targets. High level strategic, conceptual, and analytical skills to review complex issues, and formulate innovative solutions. High level understanding of Health and Community Care reforms as they apply to Aged Care, Disability and Careers. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and stakeholders through effective and sustained change. Capacity to support and grow services through the development and maintenance of partnerships with complementary health and community care organisations, individuals and funding sources. Understanding of enablement and consumer directed care and the ability to develop multiple teams around this philosophy and approach.
Ability to develop and cultivate team commitment to work collaboratively to achieve agreed Vision and Objectives.
