About the PARC program: The Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) program is located in Nicholson Street, South Yarra and is a 10 bed facility with individual self-contained apartments, and is staffed 24/7.  The length of stay is up to 28 days and referrals come from the Area Mental Health Service.  PARC is a step up, step down facility that provides psychosocial support at the earlier stages of relapse and to prevent the need for hospitalisation. Clinical intervention is provided to PARC through the Area Mental Health Service.

About this leadership opportunity: The PARC Coordinator will have responsibility for the effective coordination of the program and will identify opportunities for evaluating local needs and program growth.  In this context, you will have the responsibility for operational oversight for the following key areas – quality improvement/service delivery performance, service development, including program design, development and evaluation, financial performance, human resources management and effective allocation of resources.

Under the support and direction of the Regional Manager, North West & Bayside, you will work with the team and other key stakeholders in the ongoing development and effective implementation of regional and program plans.

Key skills & qualities: To be successful in this role, you will possess the following key skills: Qualifications in a Social Science or related discipline

Demonstrated experience and skills in working with people with serious mental illness/disorder who may also experience associated risk factors

Experience working in a residential setting within mental health is highly desirable, Experience in co-ordinating and leading a team, Strong understanding of the psychosocial rehabilitation model, Demonstrated ability to operate in a way that ensures maximum participation of participants, An ability to establish effective partnerships including liaison, mediation, negotiation and consultation, Experienced in the strategic development of programs, About MI Fellowship: MI Fellowship works with people with mental illness, their families and friends to improve their wellbeing.
