Brand Manager Ophthalmology, Job Purpose, To develop, manage and sustain a profitable, added-value brand and/or product portfolio by understanding, anticipating, creating and meeting consumer needs.

Required Learning: Medical / Science Degree / Diploma essential, Business / Marketing Degree or IMM Diploma an advantage, 1 - 3 years within Pharmaceutical environment as a Brand Manager would be an advantage. Thorough understanding of Ophthalmology ethical and generic market, Computer literacy essential, Key Job Outputs, Research and information gathering: Acquire, analyze and interpret knowledge about social economic environment, industry, competitor, market, shopper, and consumer and media trends to develop and assess new ideas to drive brand growth. Maintaining Brand / Consumer Relationships, Identify category drivers Agree segment the brand will be positioned and develop Brand Blue Print. Communication plan (ATL/BTL consumer), Brand / product portfolio, Alignment of marketing mix to brand strategy, Innovation plan identified, Forecasting, Product and Packaging Development, Conduct product segmentation, Analysis to identify gaps in the category, Gather information from local and international competitors, Monitor market trends, Innovative ideas to develop new and superior products and packaging, Brand Extension  Blue Prints, Idea screening and concept testing, Consumer proposition, All elements of marketing mix identified, developed and implemented(product, packaging, communication, launch plan, price positioning strategy, channels, etc), Trade Presenter input into brand positioning & identity & campaign idea,Detail Aid responsibility, POS input into brand positioning, identity and campaign idea, Sign off of all brand material by BM, MM, RA, CPM responsibility with input from channel (strategy), Core Competencies, Identify and develop key drivers, Brand Plan developed and implemented, Brand innovation plan developed and implemented
