Special Education Assistant (White Cloud - P/T Education Assistant)
Terms of Employment: Temporary, Part Time, Day
Salary: $20.00 Hourly for 28 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Edmonton North, Alberta (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): First Aid Certificate
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
School Grades of Children: Kindergarten
Work Periods: Regularly or part time
Specific Skills: Use basic remedial education techniques, Accompany and supervise students during school activities and outings, Assist in preparation of learning materials and environment
Additional Skills: Know and use computer hardware and software
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Child welfare check, Driver's validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail
Transportation/Travel Information: Own vehicle, Valid driver's licence
Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing, Computer use
Other Information:MUST have Early Childhood Development Certificate or Diploma. MUST have current CRIM and Youth & Family Intervention checks, without issues. Work with Aboriginal children and families.
