Description: India Culture Associate Editor

Responsibilities:  Surface, research, and write up between three and five stories daily, related to India and Indian culture. Adhere to the highest editorial standards, returning copy that’s both entertaining and flawless. Work as part of the team, lending a hand to other writers and editors as needed. Contribute to larger editorial discussions and decisions

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and at least a year in media/publishing (exciting, relevant internships count). Fluency in AP Style, A world-class understanding of viral writing, and why people share, Ability to write a killer headline, coupled with the skill to back it up with well-reasoned, impactful copy, Familiarity with aggregation, social platforms and distribution, and viral best practices, Genuine, unbridled excitement about new media, and where we go from here
