Long Haul Truck Driver (Class l Truck Driver Full time and Part time)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Skill Requirements:
Education: Some high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate, Air Brake Adjustment Certificate
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer, Van, Refrigerated
Type of Travel: Short-haul, Long-haul, International
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports, Dangerous goods occurrence reports
Communication Equipment Experience: Satellite tracking (GPS) equipme
Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Specific Skills: Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform preventive maintenance
