Purchasing supervisor
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00 Yearly for 40 hours per week, As per collective agreement
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Winnipeg and Area, Manitoba (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable
Experience: 5 years or more
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Purchasing Experience: Manufacturing and processing equipment
Business Equipment and Computer Applications: Computer terminal, Windows, WordPerfect, Excel, Dbase, Electronic Mail
Specific Skills: Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services, Assess requirements of establishment, Develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased, Invite tenders, Consult with suppliers, Review quotations, Determine contract terms and conditions, Award contracts or recommend contract awards, Establish delivery schedules, Monitor progress of delivery schedules, Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems
Additional Skills: Hire, train and supervise purchasing clerks, Know and use computer hardware and software
Security and Safety: Criminal record check
