Long Haul Truck Driver
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Day, Evening
Salary: $54,800.00 Yearly for 40 hours per week
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Edmonton North, Alberta (2 vacancies )
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A)
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Languages: Speak English
Type of Travel: Long-haul
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook
Communication Equipment Experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Cellular phone, Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment
Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Plan travel schedules and routes, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Perform emergency roadside repairs
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Medical exam, Drug test
