Veterinarian Assistant (Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day, Evening
Salary: $11.50 to $13.75 Hourly for 35 hours per week, Other Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Skill Requirements: 
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: Experience an asset
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: Veterinary clinic
Area of Specialization: Animal dentistry, Small animals
Specific Skills: Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery, Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery, Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian, Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian, Counsel clients on animal health care, Produce diagnostic radiographs, collect samples and perform other laboratory tests
