Truck driver (Delivery)
Terms of Employment: Temporary, Part Time leading Full Time, Weekend, Day
Salary: $17.70 Hourly for 15 hours per week, As per collective agreement
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Summerside, Prince Edward Island (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Forklift Operator Certification
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer
Type of Travel: Local, Provincial/territorial
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Specific Skills: Loading and unloading of goods, Pay and receive payments for goods, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Security and Safety: Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding
