Job Details: DUBAI BRITISH SCHOOL. Founded in 2005 and located in the Springs area of Dubai's Emirates Hills, DBS is a purpose built British International School, with over a thousand students aged 3 to 18. We teach the National Curriculum of England, with GCSE and A Level courses from Year 9 to Year 13. The school achieved CIS accreditation in 2009-2010 and is a member of Taaleem group of schools. For September 2015, we are looking for: ARABIC AND ISLAMIC COORDINATOR. Key Responsibilities: The Arabic and Islamic Coordinator holds the overall school responsibility and accountability for monitoring student progress, attainment and curriculum delivery through close collaboration with the SLT for Arabic and Islamic education. The Arabic and Islamic Coordinator also supports all teachers in achieving outstanding teaching for effective learning results whilst working with the SLT and department members to assess the impact of school action plans in achieve desired learning outcomes. The right candidate must have: Relevant university and teaching qualifications. A passion for the teaching and learning of Arabic language and Islamic education. Excellent communication skills and command of the Arabic and English language, in spoken and written form. A team player who can effectively collaborate with all key stakeholders. A flexible, leader capable of managing change, growth and instilling high standards. Experience with inspection, accreditation and evaluation frameworks such as CIS, NEASC, IB, BSO, DSIB and/or ADEC.
