Housekeeping Room Attendant (Room Attendant)

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Part Time, Shift, Weekend, Day

Salary: $16.13 Hourly for 30 hours per week

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Yellowknife,, Northwest Territories (1 vacancy)

Skill Requirements:

Education: Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training, Not required

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Housekeeping room attendant certification, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Not required

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Work Setting: Hotel, Apartment/condominium complex

Specific Skills: Sweep, mop and wash floors, Dust furniture, Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, Make beds and change sheets, Distribute clean towels and toiletries, Stock linen closet, Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen fixtures and appliances, Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, Clean and disinfect elevators, Handle and report lost and found items, Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items, Provide basic information on facilities, Pick up debris and empty trash containers, Wash windows, walls and ceilings

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Public transportation is available

Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Bending, crouching, kneeling
