End User Support Technician, Direct Report: IT Specialist. Purpose of Position: To support users in order to obtain high levels of productivity in the use of IT equipment and facilities
Requirements: Minimum of Grade 12 / Matric or NQF equivalent, A+ and Network+ Certified or equivalent, MCSE will be an added advantage, Excellent, broad product knowledge of MS Office & Windows XP, Sound working experience in imaging of PCs and Laptops, Extensive troubleshooting abilities
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for printer support. Responsible for all hardware support on PC’s, upgrades, installations and replacing components. Ongoing preventative maintenance of hardware & collecting for sending to suppliers for repairs. Responsible for support on current OS and desktop applications. Relocation of hardware requiring software changes. Backup to network support on technical support for mail getaways and servers. Updating of support call status on call logging system, Assisting end user competencies in basic computer skills.
