Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Electrical Mechanic Trade Certification, Motor Winder Trade Certification
Experience: 5 years or more
Major Work Area: Maintenance, Repair, Testing, Service
Area of Specialization: Electric motors, Industrial motors
Specific Skills: Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment, Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment, Repair or replace components and wiring, Test to ensure proper performance, Perform on-site servicing and repair
Additional Skills: Read blueprints, Use machining tools to fabricate or recondition parts, Weld or braze components, Instruct apprentices
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling
