Lending Manager | Restructuring Portfolio

Our client, a well known financial services group, is seeking to hire an experienced Manager in Lending to assist in the control and management of a portfolio of loans serviced by a team of specialists.

This is a contract role that would suit an experienced corporate lending specialist with significant managerial level exposure.

Key Responsibilities:

    Drive and assist the team to manage the assigned loan portfolio, ensuring that the team operates in line with all relevant internal policies to deliver agreed goals and objectives
    Meet and engage with clients to formulate exit / restructuring strategies
    Conduct due diligence on the loan portfolio and assist in formulating the optimal strategy for maximising loan recovery
    Develop strategy papers to present to Credit Committee and monthly reviews
    Make key decisions on portfolio accounts, such as the appointment of external administrators, deal with litigious clients, monitor and assess progress of external consultants.

Key Requirements:

    Previous experience of managing a complex portfolio of exposures (personal and corporate)
    Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to review, understand and interpret audited financial accounts, management accounts and financial forecasts for trading businesses
    Experience of Borrower meetings and a high degree of negotiation skills
    A thorough understanding of local tax, legal and accounting regulations which govern the corporate / cashflow lending sector
    Considerable knowledge of loan and security documentation
    Experience of working on cases involved in the insolvency process incorporating liquidation, receivership and examinership
    Ability to communicate effectively and with influence in a range of situations
